
NIBA Annual Convention FAQs
Member and Prospective Member registration includes all Convention-provided meals plus educational programming and expo access throughout the Convention. Wednesday’s Opening Dinner Event, Thursday’s Manufacturer Hospitality Hub Happy Hour and Suite Night, plus Friday’s Closing Event are also included. Additional fees apply for optional activities such as the Golf Outing, San Antonio Highlights Tour, etc.
Prospective members MUST submit an application by July 1, 2022 to be able to register for the event. NIBA will close prospective member registration after July 1 with no exceptions. Contact Jackie Kimball for any questions, jkimball@niba.org.
Spouse/Guest Participant registration includes all Convention-provided meals plus educational programming and expo access throughout the Convention. Children under 18 may attend the Convention events at no charge. Attendees over 18 must register under the Spouse/Guest Participant option.
The NIBA 2022 Annual Convention will be paperless! Access Convention information via the Convention mobile app. Watch for emails from NIBA with directions for accessing and downloading the app at least two weeks prior to the Convention.
Complimentary WiFi will be available throughout the Convention meeting space. Credentials to access the meeting space WiFi will be provided onsite.
Leave your ties and business suits at home! Business casual best describes the NIBA Annual Convention attire. The average high temperature in September in San Antonio, Texas is 90°F and average low is 69°F! Refer to the convention schedule for dress requirements for specific Convention events and optional activities.
Confirmed registrations must be canceled by Tuesday, August 31, 2022 to receive a refund of the amount paid, less a $200 cancellation charge. No refunds shall be made after August 31. Cancellations must be received by the stated cancellation deadline and will only be accepted in writing to staff@niba.org. NIBA is not responsible for refunding any canceled registrations due to weather or other travel cancellations/interruptions. We recommend purchasing traveler’s insurance to cover any potential issues that may arise.
All Expo booths commitments are non-refundable.
NIBA is not requiring COVID-19 vaccination to attend.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has issued an order that requires all employees, travelers and visitors to wear face masks or face coverings that completely cover both the mouth and nose while awaiting, boarding, disembarking, or traveling on airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and ride-shares as they are traveling into, within, or out of the United States and U.S. territories. The requirement applies to anyone age 2 and older or anyone without a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask safely. For more information, click here.
