NIBA Annual Convention FAQs
Member and Prospective Member registration includes all Convention-provided meals plus educational programming and expo access throughout the Convention. Tuesday’s Opening Dinner Event, Wednesday’s Manufacturer Hospitality Suite Night, and Thursday’s Closing Event are also included. Additional fees apply for optional activities such as the Golf Outing, Fun Run/Walk, etc.
Prospective members MUST submit an application by August 1, 2021 to be able to register for the event. NIBA will close prospective member registration after July 1 with no exceptions. Contact Jackie Fowler for any questions, firstname.lastname@example.org
Spouse/Guest Participant registration includes all contention-provided meals plus educational programming and expo access throughout the Convention. Tuesday's Opening Event, Wednesday's Manufacturer Hospitality Suite Night, and Thursday's Closing Event are also included. Additional fees apply for activities as well as specific spouse events such as the Poolside Relaxation & DIY Essential Oil Scrub activity.
Children under 18 may attend the Convention events at no charge. Attendees over 18 must register under the Spouse/Guest Participant option.
The NIBA 2021 Annual Convention will be paperless! Access Convention information via the Convention mobile app. Watch for emails from NIBA with directions for accessing and downloading the app at least one week before the Convention. Contact email@example.com to inquire about the availability of printed items.
Complimentary WiFi will be available throughout the NIBA meeting space. Credentials to access the meeting space WiFi will be provided as the Convention approaches.
Leave your ties and business suits at home! Business casual best describes the NIBA Annual Convention attire. The average high temperature in September in Palm Springs, California is 102°F and average low is 72°F! Refer to the convention schedule for dress requirements for specific Convention events and tours. Remember to pack comfortable shoes if you plan on attending any of our optional activities!
Confirmed registrations must be canceled by Tuesday, August 31, 2021 to receive a refund of the amount paid, less a $200 cancellation charge. No refunds shall be made after August 31. Cancellations must be received by the stated cancellation deadline and will only be accepted in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. NIBA is not responsible for refunding any canceled registrations due to weather or other travel cancellations/interruptions. We recommend purchasing traveler’s insurance to cover any potential issues that may arise.
Confirmed Expo booths must be canceled by Monday, August 16, 2021 to receive a refund of the amount paid, less a $300 cancellation charge. No refunds shall be made after August 16. Should you exhibit COVID-19 symptoms or test positive over the meeting dates, you will not be allowed to attend the meeting. If you are an overnight guest at the hotel and feel unwell or are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please remain in your guest room and contact NIBA staff immediately by calling or texting 608-310-7549. If you are not an overnight guest at the hotel and feel unwell or are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please wear your mask, visit the designated isolation room (refer to the map in the convention mobile app for details), and contact NIBA staff immediately by calling or texting 608-310-7549. NIBA staff will coordinate with the hotel staff to determine next steps based on individual symptoms. Any additional expenses you may incur to quarantine or return home will be your responsibility.
By registering to attend, all attendees agree to adhere to the Convention Code of Conduct & Duty of Care. On-site precautions implemented by NIBA may include, but are not limited to temperature checks before entering the meeting venue, the completion of a health screening form, etc. NIBA has sole direction and will advise participants of such requirements prior to arrival.
NIBA is not requiring COVID-19 vaccination to attend.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has issued an order that requires all employees, travelers and visitors to wear face masks or face coverings that completely cover both the mouth and nose while awaiting, boarding, disembarking, or traveling on airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and ride-shares as they are traveling into, within, or out of the United States and U.S. territories.
