NIBA Scholarships

NIBA supports continuing and higher education by providing scholarships through the NIBA Education Fund, a not-for-profit foundation.


Ray Snow Memorial Scholarship - Available to NIBA Distributor/Fabricators Employees’ Children

NIBA-The Belting Association honors the memory of Ray Snow for his dedication to NIBA and all Distributor/Fabricator members with two (2) annual scholarships awarded in his name. These scholarships, each in the amount of $4,000, are available to employees’ children who will be or are attending a two-year or more accredited college, university or technical school. Please make this form available for each child who is interested in the scholarship by displaying it on your company bulletin board or by inserting a copy into company payroll.

Applications (handwritten or typed) are due to the NIBA office by May 1, 2010.

Russ Agnes Memorial Scholarship – Due March 31, 2010

This year the Products and Services Committee is releasing a brand new scholarship, available to ALL NIBA members. (Including manufacturers!) This scholarship was created to honor Russ Agnes for his strong dedication to NIBA-The Belting Association.

The award will be one of four (4) $1,000 scholarships for employees and children of NIBA employees, who make a difference in their communities, their churches, and their schools. Complete details on the criteria can be found on the attachment. The required one-page essay counts for 60% of the considered criteria. Applicants must answer:

  • Why I should receive this scholarship
  • What I will do with this scholarship
  • What I will do with my education
  • How this scholarship will affect my life

Applications (handwritten or typed) are due to the NIBA office by March 31, 2010.

This major workforce development initiative for the industrial distribution channel connects job seekers with local employers and educators.
