Teijin Aramid Featured in Mining Magazine
Teijin Aramid was featured in the August edition of Mining Magazine article highlighting the tremendous cost and energy saving advantages of aramid reinforced conveyor belts. Replacing steel cord with Twaron® para-aramid fiber greatly reduces the weight of a conveyor belt, not only in the reinforcement but also in the amount of compound required. Adding Sulfron® to the rubber compound reduces hysteresis and indentation rolling resistance. In combination, these innovative aramids greatly reduce mine operating costs.
