Effective May 7, 2012, BDI has moved its Gastonia, NC-based office to a new, full-service stocking location at 2748 Interstate St., Suite G, Charlotte, NC 28208. Overseeing the branch are General Manager Ken Vas and Operations Manager Rikki Kistler.

Flexco recently opened a new sales and manufacturing facility in Santiago, Chile in order to better service customers in Latin America. The two-floor, 31,000 sq. ft. facility features 5,000 sq. ft. of office space. A training center, which includes a classroom and workshop, ensures that Flexco de Chile employees and customers are educated on the latest products and services.

Flexco recently opened a new location for its Tasman Warajay Technology™ transfer chute manufacturing operation in Bundaberg, Australia.

Shaw Almex just opened its new warehousing and training center in Mexico City. This facility, which will stock splice materials, adhesives, lagging and conveyor belt repair materials, will significantly improve delivery times and provide a repair and service depot for Almex vulcanizers. Shaw Almex announces its reentry to the USA market for conveyor repair, abrasion resistant materials with its acquisi- tion of Fusion Systems in Atlanta GA from Regional Con- veyor. The acquisition will eliminate confusion that existed due to Shaw Almex retaining Fusion Systems Canada and there being two separate Fusion System companies. The addition of the Atlanta facility gives warehousing in two locations and allows for shipments of hazardous materials often within 24 hours.
